Merry Christmas!!!

Had a great youth camp...next time then update pics...

I am the chief for my tribe which is called Hayil that means power.

My tribe consist of Becky, Sharon Chan, Sharon Ho,DX, BenGoh, Boon Jie, Dylan, Marcus, Aloysius, Shawn and Lionel.

Thankx guys for being so great. I believe our teamwork is good although we didn't win but having fun is then the important thing. Glad to have you guys in my team! :)

On the first day of camp we had songs of praise and out of nowhere, Timorthy came in hohoho and dress in 'skirt'and leaves on his hair and with stick inhis hand. He is the chief of the chief. He was presenting the 'power' lamp to each tribal chief. When he pass to me the lamp, he used a huge brown leaf and touch my shoulders like a king knighting a knight. Only one member caught my attention which is Dx bcoz he was wearing all black! Aloysius was in my team again. Most of them were 16 and 17. Only Becky was the oldest as she looks like 18 but in actual fact...20. After introducing oursevles to our own members, we went out to carry out our first mission: dress up your chief. They went to bought an XL right orange, aunty looking dress for me. They also bought one huge hat and a bamboo. They even went to plunk leaves from trees and bushes. After dressing up, I freaking look like a vietnamese cum hawaiian cum african. hahaha... We had nightwalk which I don't have to play as I had to watch over my tribe members and guide them through the tunnel of 'darkness'. My tribe did great for it. The main purpose is not about completing the tasks they are given but how good are they to their own tribe members. My tribe is a caring tribe after all. :)

On the second day, we had devotion, songs of praise, theme talk about Isaiah, tribe time to discuss about the skit we have to put up on the last night and lunch. Hiaz...I had difficulty in leading devotion because it was my very first time! Luckily Aloysius and Shaun helped me a bit.Too bad Becky not around otherwise she will help me too. Anyway everything turns out alright. After lunch we had water bomb war. It was super fun when we had to protect a mummy in our tribe. We have to keep him as dry as possible. Lionel was our mummy. In order to protect him, BenGoh actually went to tuck Lionel in his shirt! It was so hilarous when I was trying to find Lionel and realise the BenGoh's tummy was huge! Another game we played was called candle in the wind. We have to burn the rafia strings to 'release' our flag. My group came in last but luckily no one was sad or angry. We had a long day but it was all just fun and games.

On the third day after lunch, we played a game called The Hunt. Each group will have a station and a task to do. When we had finished the task, we had to send spies to other station to find out what their task were. We had to eat all kinds of funny food and run around like mad. I was super duper tired after running back and forth as our station actually need us to run up and down. After dinner and songs of praise, we had what we were waiting for...CAMP FIRE! It was raining though but luckily it was short. Each group has came up with our own skit which is about your tribe name. For example my group is Hayil which means power. Our skit invovles a powerful king(BenGoh) and a Princess(shaun). The king was very good in war as he defeat several kings(Dx). However because for the love of the Princess, he stop fighting tasteless wars and make roti prata for her. As she eat the prata, the power of love overwhemed her and they live happily ever after. My tribe story was a little stupid but well everyone enjoyed it.:) Later we played around the campfire...

"As we walk to the left, and we walk to right. As we walk as we walk as we walk all night. With the heel and the toe and the half-turn around...." It was a tiring and fun night for us. And from then on I was high till christmas....:)

Yesterday went for carolling then church till midnight. Hang out with friends till 1am. Reach home at 2 am. Slept at 3am. I really couldn't wake up this morning and I miss the christmas party with my friends.Haiz... Anyway I went to meet them and we watch I am Legend. Nice movie but bad ending. Play pool also and hang out till 10pm. I now tired sia...

Day 1-Flying to Cambodia

We got stuck at Cambodia airport for super long because of all these boxes we brought for the ministry. So troublesome but Pastor more troubled...haha xp

Day 2-Museum

It is really scary to see how those people tortured those innocent people. Their wa of torturing in Cambodia is far worse then Singapore during WWII. Haiz...Human beings kill human beings...what the point?

Day 3- Travelling to Kampong Chhnang

Day 5-Ministry

This liitle boy almost pee on me...

I had a headache on this day as our group were seperated into two. Standing under the hot sun the whole day and doing quite a lot of work really makes me tired. I did not take much picture this day because I was really tired.

Day 6-Ministry

This girl is actually an orphan yet she is so happy with her older sister here with us.

We had ministry for the whole day. At least we were not in twos that day otherwise I will have headache. There were really quite a number of children there but we separated them then we did what we had planned to do loh...

Day 7- Travelling to Siem Reap

We went to a orphanage before we left to Kampong....

Eating all the spiders, crikets and beetles are quite ok. They are qctually nice just disgusting.

AngKor Wat is one of the seven wonders of the world. It is really quite a nice place to visit but over there is so damn hot. Ching Kit Got burnt really badly, however he was fair back the next day. He really has the skin that girl would die for...

We bought this for US$3. Not bad though. I didn't expect them to have camera to take us and create this plate.

The whole river tour is quite fun as we enjoy the nature. I am also fasinated by how they build houses with stilt, especially those on waters. I saw a bicycle floating as we sail pass it and I also saw a guy washing his hair at the lake. I wonder if they have toilets there....?

Day 9-Dinner

Over there is really cool. It is as if we had dinner in a club. Although we are sitting on the floor but the lights, ambience, songs...feels like disco. We had a great time eating there. Too bad though as we wanted to go to NightMarket but Fiducia wanted to see stars so we went back to the hotel and in the end she changed her mind. Now we couldn't go both places. Quite angry that day but whatever...

Day 10

Finally we went back to Singapore!

A lot of people got sick on this trip. Especially Jul where she needs to put the drip thing. There are people with diarroea and cough and fever...Hope that u guys will recover soon!

I would like to come to Cambodia again. I had a great time there. I miss the translators, JCC people, the kids...EVERYONE that has made this trip so lively and meaningful. Best wishes to you all. God Bless! :)
